Braw Puppy Terms and Conditions
Owners are responsible for the behaviour and control of their dog in classes, walks, workshops or 1-2-1 consultations. If a dog is known to be aggressive toward either dogs or people they will not be suitable for a class or group situation. I need to be informed of this prior to any bookings, including 1-2-1 consultations.
I reserve the right to request the removal of a dog from a class or group work if I do not feel it is suitable, judgement being based on the dog showing aggression or acting fearful. In either case I will suggest an alternative approach.
When working with you and your dog, you are asked to follow my instructions regarding your dog. This is to ensure the safety of all dogs and humans.
I do not give refunds unless I need to cancel or rearrange a session or I feel a dog is unsuitable for a class or group situation. Please note: Refunds are at my discretion and will not be given if you sign up to work with me and you decide not to attend.
1-2-1 consultations are paid at the end of a consultation either in cash or bank transfer for which I currently charge £40 per hour (minimum charge will always be £40) plus 50p per mile for my travel if appropriate. If a client wishes to come to Galashiels and I deem this is suitable for training their dog, there will be no travel charge. Periods of less than an hour after the minimum charge will be charged in quarters: up to 15 minutes is £10.00; 15 to 30 minutes is £20.00; 30 to 45 minutes is £30.00; 45 to 60 minutes is £40.
I do not allow the following when working with your dog:
While I always prefer a harness, which is a healthier option for a dog, a flat properly-fitted collar is acceptable. The collar should be tight enough not to slip over the head while loose enough to get two fingers between it and the dog’s neck.
I keep the information that you give me securely. You are entitled to know what information I hold on you and to amend or remove it entirely at any time. For more details see Holding Your Information.

- Head harnesses (Halti types) or any implements which work by pulling on a lead to turn a dog’s head or body
- Flexi-leads or other types of extending leads
- Rolled, prong, chain, spray or any other type of control collar
- Slip leads or very short leads
